Creator Programme Terms
About these terms
These Creator Programme Terms (the “Creator Terms”) are an agreement between you and Tutoro OÜ, a company registered in Tallinn, Estonia (“Tutoro”, “we”, “us”, “our”). They apply to the creator programme at creators.tutoro.pro, your creator dashboard and what you earn through them (the “Programme”). By creating a creator account, you accept them; if you do not agree, please do not join.
Our Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy still apply to you. Where they conflict with these Creator Terms on anything to do with the Programme, these Creator Terms win.
Where you have a separate written agreement with us, it wins where it differs from these Creator Terms. If you take part without posting videos, the parts about videos do not apply to you.
Who can join
You can take part in the Programme if:
- You are at least 18 years old, and at least the age of majority where you live if that is higher;
- You hold one creator account only. One person may not hold more than one, and an account may not be shared;
- You take part with your own social accounts and channels, which you control;
- You give us true and complete information and keep it up to date;
- You are not subject to international sanctions or an embargo; and
- You can receive payments through one of the payout methods we offer.
How the Programme works
You post content about Tutoro and share your personal code. We count what your content brings in and pay you for it in US dollars.
A video must name tutoro.pro in its title or its description, be at least 10 seconds long, and be about Tutoro. We do not accept a video that does not name tutoro.pro.
We count views automatically on YouTube and TikTok, for accounts you have linked to your dashboard by signing in to that platform. On other platforms, such as Instagram and Facebook, you add each video by its link, and its views are counted once we can track that platform. Your dashboard shows whether each video’s views are being counted. A video whose views we cannot count does not earn.
Your code and your offer
When you join, we give you a personal code. It is an identifier we issue for the Programme and gives you no rights in the Tutoro name.
You can change your code once every 30 days. An old code keeps working and counting for you, is never given to anyone else, and keeps working after you leave the Programme.
Learners who subscribe with your code get a welcome offer on their first subscription. You choose its size: 0% (no offer), 5% or 10% off the first payment. You can change it at any time. A change applies to learners who arrive after it; anyone who has already used your code keeps the offer they were given. The offer is applied through the app store, so its exact form can differ between platforms, and it applies once the Tutoro app is available in the app stores.
What you are paid for
Views
Each approved video earns for its views, at your league’s rate per 1,000 views. A video starts earning once it reaches 3,000 views, and it is then paid for every view from the first. Each league also sets the most that one video can earn in total, and a cap on the views we pay for across all your videos in a calendar month. Views above the cap still count toward your standing in your league.
Subscriptions
When a learner subscribes to Tutoro with your code or your link, you earn your league’s subscription bonus once for that subscription, for its first paid period. Renewals are not paid again. A learner counts for one creator only.
Recruiting other creators
If another creator joins the Programme through your invite link, you earn 10% of what Tutoro receives, after the app store’s commission, from the first paid period of each subscription that creator brings in. This is one level only: you earn nothing from the creators your recruits bring in. A creator can be recruited by one person only.
Welcome bonus
When you join, US$10 is added to your balance as a welcome bonus. It is available straight away, and because it is below the payout minimum, it goes out with your first payout. Each person receives it once, ever.
Before subscription tracking is live
Subscription tracking is not live yet. Until it is, subscription bonuses and the recruiting share are not paid, and those figures read zero on your dashboard. They start being paid when subscription tracking goes live.
The programme budget
The Programme has a monthly budget. If it is reached, what you earn after that is still recorded in full, but it becomes available at the start of the next month, or later if its normal hold ends later.
Holds and payouts
Holds
Earnings are held before you can withdraw them, so that refunds and fraud can be caught first. View earnings are held for 14 days. Subscription bonuses and recruiting shares are held for 45 days. A hold always ends at midnight UTC, at the first midnight once the full period has passed, and never earlier. Your dashboard shows when each amount clears.
Payouts
Money that has cleared its hold is your available balance. You can ask for a payout when your available balance is at least US$20 and you have added your payout details. We pay by PayPal, Wise or bank transfer, in US dollars.
A person on our team reviews every payout request before it is sent. Transfer and currency conversion fees charged by the payment provider or your bank are deducted from the payout. We may ask you to confirm your identity before a payout.
We send each payment to the payout details you gave us, as you entered them, so please check them carefully.
Refunds and rejected videos
We never pay you money and then ask for it back. If a subscription you earned a bonus on is refunded, or a video is rejected, the earnings from it that have not been paid yet are cancelled. If they have already been paid, you do not have to return them; instead, the same amount is deducted from what you earn next.
Review, fraud and ownership
Every video passes automatic checks and is then approved by a person on our team before it earns. We may hold a video’s earnings while we look into unusual view activity.
A video earns only if it was posted on an account you have linked to your dashboard and that we have confirmed is yours. Each video belongs to one creator. If more than one creator adds the same video, we decide whose it is, and proof that the account is yours comes first.
While we look into a possible fraud concern on your account, payouts are paused.
If we reject a video, you can ask us once to look at it again. If we reverse the decision, the video’s earnings are restored.
Leagues
Every creator is in a league. Your league sets your rate per 1,000 views, the most one video can earn, your monthly view cap and your subscription bonus. The current figures for every league are on your dashboard.
Leagues are earned every calendar month. The subscriptions you bring in during one month decide your league for the whole of the next month, counted up from the first league each time, so a league has to be earned again every month. We may also place a creator in a league ourselves.
Until subscription tracking is live, league places do not change.
Your content and conduct
Your content is yours. You are responsible for it being lawful and honest about Tutoro, and for following the rules of each platform you post on.
Advertising disclosure
You are paid for your content, so it is advertising. You must label it as advertising wherever the law or the platform requires it, for example with the platform’s paid partnership label or a clear #ad.
What is not allowed
You agree not to:
- Buy views, followers or engagement, or use bots or other automation to create them;
- Take part in engagement pods, view exchanges or similar arrangements;
- Pay or reward people to watch, click, sign up or subscribe (incentivised traffic);
- Post other people’s content as your own;
- Make misleading claims about Tutoro, its features, its price or what learners will achieve;
- Bid on Tutoro brand terms, such as “Tutoro” or “tutoro.pro”, in paid search ads;
- Spam your code in comments, messages or anywhere it is not wanted;
- Create or hold more than one creator account; or
- Use your own code or link to earn from your own subscriptions or accounts.
Using the Tutoro name
You may use the Tutoro name, and the files in the content library, to talk about Tutoro in your content. Do not present yourself as Tutoro, as our employee or as speaking for us, and do not change the Tutoro logo.
The content library
The content library in your dashboard holds files we provide for the Programme. You can cut, caption and post these files in your own videos about Tutoro. You cannot resell them, hand them to anyone outside the Programme, or use them for anything else.
We ask you to accept these asset terms before you download a file. The current version of the asset terms is 1.0. The files remain the property of Tutoro or its licensors.
Taxes
You are responsible for declaring and paying any taxes on what you earn in the Programme. We may ask you for tax information before we pay you, and we may report payments to tax authorities where the law requires it.
Our relationship
You take part in the Programme as an independent business. You are not our employee, agent or partner, and you cannot make commitments on our behalf. You decide how you create your content. There is no exclusivity: you may work with other brands, and we may work with other creators.
Suspension, closing and termination
Suspension
We may suspend your account while we look into a possible breach of these Creator Terms. While it is suspended, payouts stop. A welcome bonus that has not been paid is cancelled, and it is restored if the suspension is lifted.
Closing your account
You can close your creator account at any time. When you close it:
- If your available balance is at least US$20 and your payout details are on file, it goes out as one final payout, after the usual review;
- A smaller available balance, and any money still in a hold, is not paid;
- We disconnect your social accounts and stop counting your videos; and
- Your code keeps working, so links already in your content do not break.
You can reopen your account by signing up again with the same email address.
Termination by us
We may end your participation in the Programme if you breach these Creator Terms, with notice where that is reasonable. Earnings that came from the breach and have not been paid are cancelled.
Changes to these terms and to rates
We may change the Programme’s rates, caps, maximums and bonuses. We give you at least 30 days’ notice of such a change, by email or on your dashboard. A change never applies to money already earned: every earning is recorded with the league and rate that applied when it was earned, and keeps that rate.
We may also update these Creator Terms. If a change affects your rights or obligations, we tell you in advance and may ask you to accept the new version. If you do not agree, you can close your account before the change takes effect.
Liability
Nothing in these Creator Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
We do not promise any level of views, subscriptions or earnings. We count them from data the platforms and app stores provide, and we are not responsible for anything we could not count because a platform or app store did not provide that data or was unavailable.
Because you take part as a business, and except for the matters in the first paragraph of this section, we are not liable to you for any loss of profit or any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you under these Creator Terms is limited to the earnings we owe you under them.
You agree to compensate Tutoro for any losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from a third party’s claim about your content or your breach of these Creator Terms.
Law and contact
These Creator Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Claims related to or arising from them shall be brought in Harju County Court (Harju Maakohus) in Tallinn, Estonia. You take part in the Programme as an independent business, not as a consumer. Where the mandatory law of your country gives you rights that cannot be excluded by agreement, these Creator Terms do not take them away.
If any part of these Creator Terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
